CVE-2026-3888 1 Canonical 1 Ubuntu 2026-03-18 7.8 High
Local privilege escalation in snapd on Linux allows local attackers to get root privilege by re-creating snap's private /tmp directory when systemd-tmpfiles is configured to automatically clean up this directory. This issue affects Ubuntu 16.04 LTS, 18.04 LTS, 20.04 LTS, 22.04 LTS, and 24.04 LTS.
CVE-2009-0586 3 Canonical, Gstreamer, Redhat 3 Ubuntu Linux, Gstreamer, Enterprise Linux 2026-03-17 N/A
Integer overflow in the gst_vorbis_tag_add_coverart function (gst-libs/gst/tag/gstvorbistag.c) in vorbistag in gst-plugins-base (aka gstreamer-plugins-base) before 0.10.23 in GStreamer allows context-dependent attackers to execute arbitrary code via a crafted COVERART tag that is converted from a base64 representation, which triggers a heap-based buffer overflow.
CVE-2019-9928 3 Canonical, Debian, Gstreamer 3 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Gstreamer 2026-03-17 N/A
GStreamer before 1.16.0 has a heap-based buffer overflow in the RTSP connection parser via a crafted response from a server, potentially allowing remote code execution.
CVE-2026-28384 1 Canonical 1 Lxd 2026-03-13 N/A
An improper sanitization of the compression_algorithm parameter in Canonical LXD allows an authenticated, unprivileged user to execute commands as the LXD daemon on the LXD server via API calls to the image and backup endpoints. This issue affected LXD from 4.12 through 6.6 and was fixed in the snap versions 5.0.6-e49d9f4 (channel 5.0/stable), 5.21.4-1374f39 (channel 5.21/stable), and 6.7-1f11451 (channel 6.0 stable). The channel 4.0/stable is not affected as it contains version 4.0.10.

Improper authorization in the API endpoint GET /1.0/certificates in Canonical LXD 6.6 on Linux allows an authenticated, restricted user to enumerate all certificate fingerprints trusted by the lxd server.
CVE-2025-13350 1 Canonical 1 Ubuntu Linux 2026-03-09 N/A
Ubuntu Linux 6.8 GA retains the legacy AF_UNIX garbage collector but backports upstream commit 8594d9b85c07 ("af_unix: Don’t call skb_get() for OOB skb"). When orphaned MSG_OOB sockets hit unix_gc(), the garbage collector still calls kfree_skb() as if OOB SKBs held two references; on Ubuntu Linux 6.8 (Noble Numbat) kernel tree, they have only the queue reference, so the buffer is freed while still reachable and subsequent queue walks dereference freed memory, yielding a reliable local privilege escalation (LPE) caused by a use-after-free (UAF). Ubuntu builds that have already taken the new GC stack from commit 4090fa373f0e, and mainline Linux kernels shipping that infrastructure are unaffected because they no longer execute the legacy collector path. This issue affects Ubuntu Linux from 6.8.0-56.58 before 6.8.0-84.84.
CVE-2025-32463 6 Canonical, Debian, Opensuse and 3 more 8 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Leap and 5 more 2026-02-26 9.3 Critical

A low privileged attacker with local access could potentially exploit this vulnerability, leading to Unauthorized access.
CVE-2023-40283 4 Canonical, Debian, Linux and 1 more 9 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Linux Kernel and 6 more 2026-02-25 7.8 High
An issue was discovered in l2cap_sock_release in net/bluetooth/l2cap_sock.c in the Linux kernel before 6.4.10. There is a use-after-free because the children of an sk are mishandled.
CVE-2020-1472 9 Canonical, Debian, Fedoraproject and 6 more 20 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Fedora and 17 more 2026-02-23 5.5 Medium
An elevation of privilege vulnerability exists when an attacker establishes a vulnerable Netlogon secure channel connection to a domain controller, using the Netlogon Remote Protocol (MS-NRPC). An attacker who successfully exploited the vulnerability could run a specially crafted application on a device on the network. To exploit the vulnerability, an unauthenticated attacker would be required to use MS-NRPC to connect to a domain controller to obtain domain administrator access. Microsoft is addressing the vulnerability in a phased two-part rollout. These updates address the vulnerability by modifying how Netlogon handles the usage of Netlogon secure channels. For guidelines on how to manage the changes required for this vulnerability and more information on the phased rollout, see How to manage the changes in Netlogon secure channel connections associated with CVE-2020-1472 (updated September 28, 2020). When the second phase of Windows updates become available in Q1 2021, customers will be notified via a revision to this security vulnerability. If you wish to be notified when these updates are released, we recommend that you register for the security notifications mailer to be alerted of content changes to this advisory. See Microsoft Technical Security Notifications.
CVE-2023-4911 6 Canonical, Debian, Fedoraproject and 3 more 43 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Fedora and 40 more 2026-02-13 7.8 High
A buffer overflow was discovered in the GNU C Library's dynamic loader ld.so while processing the GLIBC_TUNABLES environment variable. This issue could allow a local attacker to use maliciously crafted GLIBC_TUNABLES environment variables when launching binaries with SUID permission to execute code with elevated privileges.
CVE-2019-12749 3 Canonical, Freedesktop, Redhat 5 Ubuntu Linux, Dbus, Enterprise Linux and 2 more 2026-02-13 7.1 High
dbus before 1.10.28, 1.12.x before 1.12.16, and 1.13.x before 1.13.12, as used in DBusServer in Canonical Upstart in Ubuntu 14.04 (and in some, less common, uses of dbus-daemon), allows cookie spoofing because of symlink mishandling in the reference implementation of DBUS_COOKIE_SHA1 in the libdbus library. (This only affects the DBUS_COOKIE_SHA1 authentication mechanism.) A malicious client with write access to its own home directory could manipulate a ~/.dbus-keyrings symlink to cause a DBusServer with a different uid to read and write in unintended locations. In the worst case, this could result in the DBusServer reusing a cookie that is known to the malicious client, and treating that cookie as evidence that a subsequent client connection came from an attacker-chosen uid, allowing authentication bypass.
CVE-2025-26466 4 Canonical, Debian, Openbsd and 1 more 5 Ubuntu Linux, Debian Linux, Openssh and 2 more 2026-02-10 5.9 Medium
A flaw was found in the OpenSSH package. For each ping packet the SSH server receives, a pong packet is allocated in a memory buffer and stored in a queue of packages. It is only freed when the server/client key exchange has finished. A malicious client may keep sending such packages, leading to an uncontrolled increase in memory consumption on the server side. Consequently, the server may become unavailable, resulting in a denial of service attack.
CVE-2025-33208 2 Canonical, Nvidia 3 Ubuntu Linux, Tao, Tao Toolkit 2026-01-30 8.8 High
NVIDIA TAO contains a vulnerability where an attacker may cause a resource to be loaded via an uncontrolled search path. A successful exploit of this vulnerability may lead to escalation of privileges, data tampering, denial of service, information disclosure.
CVE-2026-1237 1 Canonical 1 Juju 2026-01-29 N/A
Vulnerable cross-model authorization in juju. If a charm's cross-model permissions are revoked or expire, a malicious user who is able to update database records can mint an invalid macaroon that is incorrectly validated by the juju controller, enabling a charm to maintain otherwise revoked or expired permissions. This allows a charm to continue relating to another charm in a cross-model relation, and use their workload without their permission. No fix is available as of the time of writing.
CVE-2018-14634 6 Canonical, F5, Linux and 3 more 35 Ubuntu Linux, Big-ip Access Policy Manager, Big-ip Advanced Firewall Manager and 32 more 2026-01-27 N/A
An integer overflow flaw was found in the Linux kernel's create_elf_tables() function. An unprivileged local user with access to SUID (or otherwise privileged) binary could use this flaw to escalate their privileges on the system. Kernel versions 2.6.x, 3.10.x and 4.14.x are believed to be vulnerable.
CVE-2025-53513 1 Canonical 1 Juju 2026-01-08 8.8 High
The /charms endpoint on a Juju controller lacked sufficient authorization checks, allowing any user with an account on the controller to upload a charm. Uploading a malicious charm that exploits a Zip Slip vulnerability could allow an attacker to gain access to a machine running a unit through the affected charm.
CVE-2025-53512 1 Canonical 1 Juju 2026-01-08 6.5 Medium
The /log endpoint on a Juju controller lacked sufficient authorization checks, allowing unauthorized users to access debug messages that could contain sensitive information.
