A vulnerability exists in the IEC 61850 communication stack that affects multiple Hitachi Energy products.
An attacker could exploit the vulnerability by using a specially crafted message sequence, to force the IEC 61850 MMS-server communication stack, to stop accepting new MMS-client connections.
Already existing/established client-server connections are not affected.

| Inductive Automation Ignition ConditionRefresh Resource Exhaustion Denial-of-Service Vulnerability. This vulnerability allows remote attackers to create a denial-of-service condition on affected installations of Inductive Automation Ignition. Authentication is not required to exploit this vulnerability.
The specific flaw exists within the handling of OPC UA ConditionRefresh requests. By sending a large number of requests, an attacker can consume all available resources on the server. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to create a denial-of-service condition on the system. Was ZDI-CAN-20499. |

An attack requires that an attacker can inject a string into a CSS selector at runtime, which is quite common with e.g. jQuery CSS selectors. No patches are available for this issue. |

A database error can be generated potentially causing a DoS when performed multiple times. There are currently no known workarounds. | Discourse is an open-source discussion platform. Prior to version 3.0.1 on the `stable` branch and 3.1.0.beta2 on the `beta` and `tests-passed` branches, when submitting a membership request, there is no character limit for the reason provided with the request. This could potentially allow a user to flood the database with a large amount of data. However it is unlikely this could be used as part of a DoS attack, as the paths reading back the reasons are only available to administrators. Starting in version 3.0.1 on the `stable` branch and 3.1.0.beta2 on the `beta` and `tests-passed` branches, a limit of 280 characters has been introduced for membership requests. |
